A few words about
Services
I provide evidence-based psychological interventions to adult clients (18 and over) and work with individuals experiencing a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and other emotional and psychological challenges. I have a particular interest, however, in helping neurodivergent individuals to navigate life’s challenges and embrace their unique strengths.
My approach is tailored to each individual’s needs, combining various evidence-based therapies to ensure effective, personalised treatment. I draw from the following therapeutic modalities:
- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT): A structured, goal-oriented therapy that helps identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours, fostering healthier emotional responses and coping strategies.
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): A variation of CBT that encourages acceptance of difficult thoughts and emotions, while guiding you to take actions aligned with your core values for a more meaningful life.
- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT): A variation of CBT that emphasises emotional regulation, mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance, helping individuals manage intense emotions and improve relationships.
- Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy: A trauma-focused therapy that uses guided eye movements to reprocess distressing memories, reducing their emotional impact.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy: A short-term therapy focused on solutions rather than problems, helping you identify practical steps toward achieving your desired future.
Each approach is carefully selected based on an individual’s specific needs and preferences, ensuring that therapy is effective and meaningful.
